BMG teams up with Universal to aquire music groups such as EMI

BMG, the music group owned by KKR and Bertelsmann, has teamed up with Universal Music Group to jointly acquire music groups.

The Daily Telegraph understands that the pair have held talks about making an offer for EMI when it is put up for sale soon and may jointly re-enter the $3bn-plus (£1.8bn-plus) auction for Warner Music, the company behind Cee Lo Green and Bruno Mars.
