Roy Ayers concert at London Jazz Cafe July 2011 (No Pete Rock)

Roy Ayers descended onto the Jazz Cafe stage at 21:15 with a packed audience still shuffling around the venue.
After a week of performances at the Jazz Cafe, the Roy Ayers band confidently began to play, whilst giving the engineer cues to readjust levels.
Roy Ayers led the band by playing his electric Xylophone. The Xylophone, an instrument you rarely see at most concerts was at the forefront of the stage.
To the delight of the fans, famous hits such as Sunshine, and Brooklyn were extended for over 15mins.

The disappointment to some of the audience that Pete Rock was unable to make the concert was clear to hear. Pete Rock was unable to attend due to back problems.

A soul legend performed alongside a legendary band that would be more fitting to describe as a family.
